A man, an idea and some leather walk into a bar…
I’ve been looking for an awesome backpack/rucksack to take on my trip to Japan with me (oh yes I’m going to Japan, but that’s a whole other story), fortunately I discovered ROWDY Rucksacks.
Nicholas Meinert is just 21 and the founder and designer of ROWDY . The unsuccessful search for the perfect functional and aesthetically brilliant rucksack was the founding factor behind ROWDY’s inception. When it comes to style, he believes beauty is simplicity, and vice versa.
So what makes a simple thing beautiful? Premium quality materials and expert workmanship, that’s what!
The ROWDY online store will be launching April 7 with worldwide shipping with the physical Woodstock store launching soon but more importantly for all of us in Johannesburg he will be launching at the Neighbourgoods Market in the coming weeks.
His favourite bag in the line is:
The Angkor Wat Rucksack. With it’s crazy beautiful vintage leather appeal.
His interests are:
Aesthetics, unconventional living, and finding the truth in all things. I believe there is a different way to do things, and I want to share it with everyone!
His Plans for the future are:
The entire ROWDY operation is busy moving into a 300 square meter Woodstock Warehouse, shop and all! It’s rather exciting! Down the road, expanding ROWDY into a full scale lifestyle brand. GET ROWDY!
