Sometimes a person’s photos speak to you so much that you feel like you know them. Without sounding like too much of a creep, meet , my favourite Instagrammer by the sea.

I paint pictures and sell them. I also do some web and graphic design. Lately I’m also getting into managing social media accounts for local businesses.
For fun I’m usually exploring with my family or coffee drinking with friends
3. How did you discover Instagram?
I think I first saw people sharing pics on Facebook from instagram, they reminded me of the polaroids my parents had of me as a kid, so that was how I first became aware of the app. When I got my iPad 2 at the SA launch around May 2011 Instagram was one of the first apps I downloaded. I used it mainly to document some travelling I did with my family around that time. I only started posting regularly when I got a decent phone in July last year.

5. Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to master the platform?
Follow great accounts, they will inspire and influence you.
Be unique. The IG community in SA is amazing, get to know people by engaging on the platform and going on instameets and stuff, it will seriously enrich your experience.
6. Do you have a particular photographic style?
I don’t know, do I? I have moods and I’ll go through phases. I get bored easily and change it up. I try to be as original as possible.
7. Where is your favourite place to take pictures in Knysna?
Obviously I live in a beautiful town but I try to show Knysna from a different perspective. I love the railway bridge but right now I’m enjoying getting into parts of the forest that I haven’t seen yet.
