Angie is one of my favourite human beings in the whole world, she’s like my friend, sister, business partner and (super young) mom rolled into one person who doesn’t (openly) judge the weird things I do. Meet below:

1. What is your handle?

2. What do you do when you’re not Instagramming?

I’m a freelance art director and I co-own Father Coffee. My husband and I have just sold Wolves and The Good Luck Club and for now are waiting for our baby girl to arrive. Sooooon!

3. How did you discover Instagram?

This is a hard question, not sure how, probably through all my hip friends.

4. Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to master the platform?

Yes, I think you should always consider the quality of the photo you are taking. I hate out of focus pictures and photos that haven’t for one second been considered in any way, they’ve just been taken and maybe graded (if the viewer is lucky), then posted. I have unfollowed people in the past based on the fact that they literally post photos that look like a one-handed head of lettuce took them.

5. Do you have a particular photographic style?

I’d say my style is ‘documentative’, but in a very loose and easy way – For me Instagram is such a rad tool to use to remember details in your life that can easily slip away as time goes by. I take photos of anything that will trigger a memory, from a signed piece of paper, to indicate a new venture, to a flopped cake that I’ve baked, to my husband taking a nap after a really awesome day out together. I wouldn’t say I have a specific style, but I will say that I do (as mentioned above) really consider the photos that I take and add to feed.

6. Where is your favourite place to take pictures in Johannesburg?

Anywhere really. If I see something/one/where that is interesting then I stop and take a photo.
