I’ve lived on my own for quite a few years now, but before Craig and I moved into our slice of heaven in Parkhurst I’d never had my own space to do exactly what I wanted with. I’m really enjoying collecting different pieces to make our apartment a home but it’s way harder than I could have ever imagined. Everything costs money and I’m always wary of spending money on something that doesn’t quite fit or I change my mind about a few days later!

While it can’t help you pick out furniture, the new Dulux Visualizer app can help you figure out what your room of choice could look like with a new coat of paint before you paint it, which is pretty flipping priceless. I’ve partnered with Dulux this week to show you how the app works and even more exciting to help you win a room makeover worth R3500 (scroll to the end of this post)! The  app lets you pick a colour from anywhere, or from the Dulux palette  and, with augmented reality technology, allows you to see the colours live in your living space, which means no more standing in front of a million swatches looking lost.

My main living area is still a work in progress but it’s ended up with accents of olive green and mustard so I’m thinking of painting it this beautiful Palm Tree colour from Dulux.

  1. Download the Dulux SA Visualizer from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store
  2. Snap the room or wall you’d like to transform from within the app and share it on either Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #DuluxVisualizerZA don’t forget to tag me, @shesaidsa and @DuluxSA so I can keep track of entries.
  3. That’s it! Competition closes midnight Sunday November 22, and I will announce my winner on Monday the 23rd.

Good luck guys!
